Just wondering if anyone has a good recepie for hard tac. I would like to make some out of venison but the gentleman that used to make it for me is no longer living and I never asked exactly how he made it. Thanks

I've heard dried sausage called spitzmer before. There is a place near Sioux Falls, called Renner that makes it. My buddy's uncle makes it prior to hunting trips to West River, and God help weak-willed that enters a pickup with several guys feeding on that stuff. It is delicious, but definitely make sure you are hunting in to the wind.
