    Foam Under Bench Seats

So the boat project I swore that would be finished over the winter...is just getting started. I'm replacing the bench seats in the boat with new marine plywood. Upon taking the seats out, the white foam underneath looks sketchy. Obviously it's gotten wet and its falling apart. What can I use in its place? I think its important to keep foam where it originally was, but I don't know what to replace it with.

My 12' semi-V has a foam filled metal "trough" mounted under the seat "planks". I removed the old foam and filled the "trough" with the can of spray foam used in insulation and to fill "gaps".

When set up, simply pull out your Mister Twister Electric (longer blade of the two) fillet knife and "trim" the excess.

That's a great idea, thank you!
