I did end up getting a Jann's net craft twister. It's probably the low end but effective enough to start me out. Below are a few that I will be giving to family this Christmas. Finding old lures with a bad hook will now be worthwhile when out fishing as the body and spinner blades may be reusable.

So as is often the case, especially when it's snowy outside, I spent about 15 seconds reading this thread and about an hour on google amazed by all that is out there. Anyone else on here use a Boggs or Twistech? I would love to try it sometime, if anyone would let me join in on a lure-making session. Happen to have some wire at work but willing to track down my own other parts.

After bending a ton of .051" wire, I'm glad I bought the Boggs Tacklemaker. I couldn't imagine making all those close quarter bends and twists with a bench vise and punch, especially once that wire is loaded with blades and beads.
