    Converting a 40 cal to 9mm +p

I was wondering how well will my .40 cal hold up if I converted it to a 9mm and shoot +p rounds out of it? My second question is will I still get slightly better accuracy out of it versus keeping it as is?

What model of gun are you asking about? I would think any gun shooting 40 will hold up just as well shooting 9mm +p if the conversion barrel is rated for it. I would think using higher end conversion barrels would help with accuracy but there is no guarantee. You just have to see how it works for you. I have had good luck with function with Glock and S&W M&P using lone wolf and storm lake conversion barrels. I use caliber appropriate magazines.

I know that they make a 357 sig barrel for the shield. That's what I would go for and use the same mags. I'm not sure about a 9mm conversion barrel for them but you can buy a Shield for $250 in 9mm if that's what you want.
