    On-line check for deer

Hunters will have two new options for checking in their deer this fall in Nebraska. Telephone (telecheck) and online check in will now be possible in all areas of the state for all seasons except the November firearm season, which runs Nov. 14-22.
    These options include:
    • Manual check stations (click here for a list of regulations and check stations)
    • Online at (site will be operational beginning on Sept. 15, 2009)
    • By telephone at (800) 405-7700
These two new check in methods offer additional flexibility for hunters; they are in operation 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and can be accessed from anywhere there is a phone or a computer.

Both methods are valid for any deer that is taken between Sept. 15 - Nov.
    13 and Nov. 23 - Jan., 15, 2010.

Because Nebraska Game and Parks biologists need to collect age and other data, such as lymph samples and antler measurements for harvested bucks, telecheck and online check in will not be offered or valid during the November firearm season.

required to use the telecheck or online check in systems include:
    • A unit code (three digit number found on your permit)
    • A permit number
    • Date of kill
    • County of kill
    • Species (whitetail or mule deer)
    • Sex of kill (male or female)
    • Age of kill (adult or fawn)
