    Report Fishing turbid water

Many of the farm ponds are still muddy-colored from recent storms. Yesterday I brought an assortment of soft plastics to a pond intending to fish a Texas rigged Pit Boss or wacky rigged Yum worm. But the pond was bank full and looked like chocolate milk. Luckily I had one crankbait in my tackle bag. That Bomber 4A rattled along scuffing the bottom and tearing weeds on the retrieve. The bass jumped on it; some of them chased it all way to the bank and swirled at it as I lifted it for another cast. Lesson learned: Be flexible in your approach.
