A native Nebraskan, Bo enjoys fishing for anything that swims and hunting for anything that moves. He can usually be found slinging cutbait around Lincoln area lakes or laying in the corn somewhere, Benelli Nova in hand. When not outdoors, you can find Bo hard at work in the marketing and communications field, spending time with his family, or watching football while eating high-fat foods.

Chad lives in Omaha Nebraska with his wife and two young children. His family has been living, fishing and hunting in southeastern Nebraska for over 100 years. Chad loves spending time with his family and introducing fish and game to his kids – regardless of the adventure, they hate to head home. Chad enjoys two stalwart companions in the outdoors - his brother, and Golden Retriever, Brady. His brother introduced Chad to the outdoors and earned his unending gratitude. Brady is loyal to the end and always hopeful for one more retrieve. A life without adventure in outdoor Nebraska just wouldn’t do.

Steve came to Nebraska by way of the USAF in 1984 and found much more of the things he loved growing up in Pennsylvania and just decided to stay after he graduated from the Air Force in 1995. Steve has been active since coming to Nebraska with various state pointing dog field trial clubs in addition to doing a lot of bird and deer hunting and a fair amount of fishing each year around the midwest.

An attorney by trade, James Kovarik swears that he either should have gone to walleye fishing school, or should have been a rock star, because the hours are better. An angler for over 30 years, James has fished many of the Nebraska Panhandle’s larger reservoirs, including Lake Minatare, Box Butte Reservoir, and Oliver Reservoir, with occasional appearances in Central Nebraska at Johnson and Elwood. As a kid James habitually fished Lake McConaughy, as well as numerous smaller bodies of water. When he is not in the courtroom tormenting judges and clients alike, James can be found on Metro area lakes beating the water to a froth with rod and reel in hand and cursing under his breath, or in one of Eastern Nebraska’s many Wildlife Management Areas chasing upland gamebirds and waterfowl.

Introduced to fishing by his father at the young age of 3, J.T. quickly picked up the techniques needed to land panfish like a pro. Graduating to catfish and later northern pike and walleye angling, he took up canoing and camping to cap off the spring to fall fishing experience. Recently taking up the ice fishing experience J.T. has spent several afternoons cutting holes and jigging for crappie and eyes. Growing up around a lake in Omaha, there were plenty of summer morning and nights spent at the shores with plenty of stinkbait and livers searching for big cats. J.T. was also introduced to Nebraska hunting at the age of 9, being a "bird dog" for his father and uncles while walking the fields looking for the elusive "ditch parrot" and quail. At the age of 12 he was enrolled in hunting education and soon after was carrying a 20 guage through the field. These days he avidly hunts upland game and waterfowl, most of the time to little avail.

Born in Japan but moved to the States 1979. Having been raised in a family with a father who is a minister (and chef), he has lived all over the US. His studies landed him in the PhD program at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in 1998 where he later accepted a job with the Research Computing Facility (RCF). Mako is currently working as the Grid/Storage Administrator for RCF and working on the world wide Compact Muon Solenoid (CMS) project. He also teaches Cluster Administration and, at times, freshman Computer Science and Engineering courses as part of his duty at UNL. In his spare time, Mako has enjoys wrestling and watching mixed martial arts. He wrestled until his junior year at Pacific Lutheran University where he also created and ran the Athletic Department's website. This had lead him to be a Guide for Amateur Wrestling with About.com, a position he held until the layoff shortly after 9/11 in 2001. He is currently a staff member for the Takedown Report based out of North Carolina (and run by a former UNL Graduate), covering random events in the Midwest. Of course, another favorite hobby is fishing. Mako grew up fishing the waters of the L.A. and Seattle areas and has now found the waters of Nebraska and surrounding areas to be quite appealing. Wanting to learn more about fishing in the area prompted Mako to first lurk, then join and post in the NEFGA forums.

Ty doesn’t have much of a passion for hunting...let's call it an addiction. He can't get enough. He hunts at least 4 days a week during the regular waterfowl season, if not every day. Even at night, he is relentlessly scanning the web looking for more information and reports of how the migration is going. It never stops in his mind. Even in the off season, he is always making his own decoys and planning for the next year. Growing up hunting the Tekamah river bottom near old Lake Quinnebah, Ty learned the art of waterfowling. His roots are strong - his great grandfather grew up hunting with the great Ralph Kohler, a waterfowling legend. These past seasons his addiction has grown strong hunting snow geese during the spring conservation season. He can't get enough and hunts them daily. "With these birds, nobody is an expert", says Ty. He is driven to master them and he learns something new every day he hunts them. Ty also believes in giving back to the waterfowling community. He goes out of his way for his fellow waterfowlers as he introduces many newer recruits to the sport each year, stoking the addiction flowing in their veins as well.
