Nebraska Game & Parks news release, 12/14/06:
GRETNA, Neb. -- The Ak-Sar-Ben Aquarium will host a venison sausage-making workshop on Wednesday, Jan. 10, 6:30-9 p.m., according to Aquarium Director Tony Korth. Mike Pullen, of Hobart Sales and Service and Frisco Spices, will present the workshop and teach attendees how to make homemade sausage. The workshop will include demonstrations, discussions about recipes, and techniques for making summer sausage, bratwurst, Italian and breakfast sausage from harvested big game animals. The workshop is free but seating is limited. Call (402) 332-3901 to reserve seating. Ak-Sar-Ben Aquarium is located six miles south of Interstate 80 Exit 432 at the popular Schramm Park State Recreation Area.
