Who was responsible for your love of the outdoors? For so many children in this new millennium, the closest they will get to the outdoors is the latest Cabelas Playstation game on Bass Fishing or Hunting. Yet for those of us who learned to love the outdoors, where did that love come from? For most of us, it came from our fathers. The importance of passing on our love of the outdoors to the next generation cannot be understated. We have a responsibility to pass on our love and our passion to the next generation, especially to our children.
Check out our latest article on the NEFGA main page, titled “My Father’s Son.” A look at the importance of passing on our hunting and fishing passion to the next generation through the eyes of one of our forum members. Me. ![]() My Fathers Son | The Nebraska Fish and Game Association | Fa

I just read the article, and wow. I am only 21 years old, but i can not even imagine what my relationship would be like with my father without fishing. Through fishing my father taught me how to be patient, responsible, and overall a good sportsman.
even when I was 3 I remember asking EVERYDAY, "can we go fishing dad?" It brings back to many memories, some as recent as last weekend fishing in a tournament with my father. EXCELLENT READ! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()
