Here are instructions for posting pictures to the forum.
I'm not sure if these instructions are the easiest way to post pictures, but they work for me. If you know a better way, feel free to share it and I'll update the post accordingly. Here's how to post a picture to the forum: 1. Load your digital image from your camera to your computer. 2. Go to a free image hosting websites. I prefer Imageshack. 3. Click on Browse to find your picture, select your picture and click open. 4. Check the "resize image?" box and use the drop down box to select your size (640x480 recommended) 5. Click "Host it!" 6. When your picture appears, click on it. It will then load the full-sized image. 7. When the full-sized image appears, right click on the image and select "Properties." 8. Copy the location of the image. 9. Return to the forum and to the thread you intend to post your picture. Click on the image icon (the picture of the sun and mountains above). 10. Paste the location of your image between the tags. 11. Remember to use the "Preview" function to check your post before posting. Feel free to practice posting pictures on this thread or ask questions if you can't get it to work correctly.

Nice colors in your photo, Darksky. Welcome to the Forum.
Does your name indicate an interest in astronomy?

I think that may just be the URL for a thumbnail or something there, liquid, not the actual pic.

You're not making him reach in for crawdads are you?!?!?
Something my dad would have done to me, that's for sure. :d :?

No crawdads, just noodling around in the minnow bucket. My son thought that it was the best thing in the world to pull out a wiggling minnow and put it back. Laughed and laughed. My sister there in the picture taught him that while i was out fishing.

I must be dumb. I had the old site figured out completely, but when I go to make a post, I do not see the Image or link buttons for the tags. I've looked all over the page and must be doing something silly. I also do not see where everyone is getting all these smileys. I think I need some help, cause I've been playing with this for about a half hour trying to find how to post pics again.

You're probably using only the quick Reply? You have full reply permissions under "Post Reply" just above and to the left of the Quick Reply box.
Try that.

That's actually what I'm using. I just don't see anything on the page other than a few icons to appear after the title and under the additional options menu I have only two options. "Auto parse links in text" and "notification type"
I am seeing nothing else on this page. |

hmmmm....if that doesn't work - try this ...
go My Settings->Edit Options and scroll down, select Enhanced Editor, from the Editor Options area, then scroll to the bottom and hit "save"
