Finally a thread that no one can argue about.:d I have no favorite teams pro or college. However, there are players I liked/like to watch. 1)Barry Sanders...guy could run 100yds. full speed and only gain 1yd.,simply amazing to watch 2)Dick Butkus(only on films unfortunately) but the guy lived for playing football 3)Peyton Manning...unbelievable student of the game, guy can read defenses like no other QB ever,IMO) 4)Cory ?...fullback for NU a few years ago, just a machine at blocking and when handed the ball, could run it to and punish people 5)quite a few more that I'll sit down to watch but those are just some of my favorites.

Sleiseinger ( I'm sure the spelling is WAY off)

Cory Schlesinger is how it's spelled I think, and I've always been a big fan as well.

Two things I remember about him that I like, not football related. When they won the National Championship in '94 and everyone was singing his praises he was quoted as saying, "Yeah, I scored 2 touchdowns, but it was because of the offensive line."

Also, he breaks a lot of facemasks off his helmets when he plays. He keeps them and mounts them to plaques (doing all the work himself in his garage) and then auctions them off for charity I believe.

Sounds like a pretty level-headed guy. A far cry from the primmadonna Terrell Owens' out there.

We had some pretty dang good fullbacks back then. I think it was the Mackovica boys that played after him.

I met Cory Schlesinger (it is spelled correctly, the internet is a wonderful tool) and he is a super nice guy. Met him when I went to the Husker Power football camp my senior year in highschool. Very big and very strong guy. Very intimidating until you talk to him. He sat and ate lunch with us during camp a couple of times. BTW the Huskers feed their players very well. Some of the best steaks and ribs ever ate was from there.

Baseball: Nolan Ryan
Football: Vince Ferragamo (just a coincidence for you Husker fans - I did not follow him until the Rams)
Basketball: John Stockton

Current favorite player:

Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Chad Johnson

I love his dancing in the end-zone. Really puts a nice touch on the game

Johnny Unitas.

He called his own plays, and he wore black hightops, just like mine.
