I believe "Role Model Lawrence" was sentenced to up to 25yrs in the clink. Only about 10 yrs past when he should have been locked up for good. By the way, he was not the biggest waste of talent ever to walk on this earth (sarcasm)

My favorite player of all time would have to be Tommie or Brook. Brook was a class act for sure.

Will never forget the breakaway Tommie had against Florida

"There goes Tommie Frazier! There goes Tommie Frazier!" (I think that was call by the play-by-play and the color commentator chimed in with, "How many tackles can one man break?" as Chad mentioned. A great call.

Then Tommie did the toe drag into the endzone and just stood there with his hands on his hips as the team ran down to him. :d

Great game. Really the pinnacle of all games for the Huskers and Husker fans as far as I'm concerned. Game could have been 70-10 pretty easily, but we all had to settle for 62-24. :d

Definately one of the best, if not THE best, college football team that ever played.

OK, so I went out and looked for a video (I was inspired by adam's hockey video).

"How many tackles can one man break?" is the frst video.

The second video is almost better. It's 2 videos in one and the second is the best. The audio is poor but if you turn it up you can the announcer with a GREAT call.

Thanks Burro for the video that game was so much fun to watch us just destroy the Gators and watch the visor wearing one on the other sideline just make faces and cry the whole game.

Have you seen the Johnny Rodgers punt return or the Davidson diving catch?

Peyton Manning without question , with all the little inside jokes and digs tossed around , when you watch Peyton Manning with his game face on , in my opinion you see perfection ...

I'll agree with Storm.......Peyton Manning. A true student of the game, which is very rare these days. In fact, the only time I sit down and watch pro football is when he's playing. My other pick would be Barry Sanders. That guy could run 100yds. to gain 3.:d

OJ Simpson, because his favorite play was: Cut left, then slash right! He also ran for more yards in one evening than he did in his entire career with the Bills. At the end of the regulation marriage, without any additional scoring, the only thing left was sudden death.

with regard to OJ...what a boyhood hero of many people...lot's of folks had the hearts crushed over that...now, it's just amazingly pathetic.

Brooks was special...in what he did, how he handled himself through his short career...and what he was poised to do...may well have been the second coming of Ferragamo...a true tragedy...

**I believe "Role Model Lawrence" was sentenced to up to 25yrs in the clink.***

hmmmmmm...about the time Lawrence was starting to screw up his career in the NFL the first time, I recalling predicting that he would be a Super Bowl Champion before Nebraska won another National Championship. :zbghead:

I'm thinking of revising that prediction now! :zidunno: :zscared:

:zcoffee:

What a waste.

That really sums it up in my opinion , you will see decent players on a field , then you will see rising stars , you will even catch a glimpse of a few guys and ponder why or who in the hell placed these guys on the field , yet Alex said it best and that is some of these guys are a true student of the game , to the point where they can do no wrong , now allow me to elaborate , when I claim they can do no wrong , a few of these guys even on their bad days are playing a game on an entirely different level than most players and I agree even more that yes it's rare , you wont see many guys like this , however when you do they catch your eye merely because as mentioned , when they step out on the field with their game face on you can expect to see perfection and the kicker is -> you do ...

Minister of Defense MR. Reggie White. Growing up with my dad being a packer fan i loved watching Reggie White. When the Carolina Panthers came into the league i started watching them to i was born in NC so i was like cool have a team now. Then when Reggie White retired and came back and played 1 year for the Panthers i became a All around Panther fan. Evan though he didnt due much that one year he was bye far one of the most dominating D fence guys ever and a all around stand up guy.
