Although she's a much bigger fan of Creighton soccer, She-Who-Must-Be-Obeyed agreed to go with me to the UNO football game Saturday night against Northwest Missouri State. Kick-off was at 6 pm, but we got there 45 minutes early to find a good seat in the east-side general admission bleachers. We were surrounded by greenies from Maryville. By half-time, UNO is trailing 21-6 (both field goals), despite two NWMSU turnovers. I turn to the Boss and told her we could make the second half of the Creighton-UCLA match if we left then. She eagerly agreed, and off we went. Creighton ends up tying nationally-ranked UCLA 0-0 in double overtime. We got home just in time for the 10 pm local news to learn UNO staged a 19-point fourth quarter comeback after holding NWMSU scoreless in the second half to win 25-21.

That sucks... It's one of the only reasons I don't leave a game early....

Jason -- I have came a long way in my 10 years here....I used to root against the Huskers and laugh at all of the fan boys (mostly the people who built the red and white shrines in their basements and ordered caskets with a big N on them...2 be buried in style).
Now I catch myself jumping up in the air and pumping my fist when they do something good....So I would say the transformation is coming along well. ![]() P.S. --- Plus the NFL started last week, so all is well ![]()
