Default NU vs. USC

Since the posts have already changed to the NU vs USC in my previous thread, its time to start a new thread.

NU Vs. USC what's your prediction? Does NU have a chance?

USC 35 NU 10

BUT....

Praying for the opposite to be true. USC is ripe for an upset.

USC 38, NU 13

From what I've seen, I think they should have gone with Ganz at QB. Why? Because he deserves it, and isn't that bad of a QB. We'd also have him for two seasons. Keller's looked a lot like Joey Harrington where if there's ANY pressure on him and/or if he has too much time to think, he makes mistakes. He still looks very uncomfortable out there.

I think some folks are giving USC way too much credit.

You might be right Nerd. For sure, NU will have to play more consistently than they did last week. I think they can do it though. They will not win a shoot out with USC, I think you are right about that.

Ty,
I like your prediction best. This whole game will depend on 2 things........Will NU show up and play a solid 4 qtrs. and will USC be on their game and be the scoring machine they can be. This game will decide if it's a possible championship year or another rebuilding season for NU.

Alex

USC couldn't score that much on Idaho. I think NU has its hands full but USC isn't that loaded on offense.

If USC removes their front line defense and a couple linebackers and replaces them with cardboard cutouts.....Lucky will have a banner day and run 50 times for 200 yards.....and the Huskers will win 35-21

If USC has real people play defense, Lucky will run 11 times for 28 yards, and Keller will have to pass.....he will have about 20 completions (5 or 6 of them to the wrong team) -- and Nebraska will lose 42-12 (4 field goals...that guy has a monster leg!)

yea i dont know about this keller character. there were some throws that he missed people from anywhere to 5 to 10 yards. the touch just isnt there. maybe he's nervous or whatever, but at this level nervous isnt an excuse anymore.

I don't think we have to worry about what USC did against Idaho, worry about how we will play..........

"At this level, nervous isn't an excuse anymore."True. However, neither is "it's a rebuilding year." an excuse for a whole team.

Sometimes I wouldn't call it talent...... But yes the game will be interesting none the less.........

Just like Alex said we should have no excuse (rebuilding, recruiting, nervous, and whatever you want to call it.) I love Nebraska football and don't miss a game. I do whatever I can to listen, watch, or attend but I really think we are in for a troubled year. And we will continue to be in trouble until we get Callahan out of the seat........
