No kidding!

It's pretty tough for a first time starter or a true freshman QB to jump right in. Especially on a team that had lost so much on that side of the ball from the year before. It's the perfect storm of new qb's, wr's, "iffy" line play and questionable play calling that has made the O less than stellar. Just be thankful your D is playing their a** off cause without them there is no way this team makes it to a bowl game.

I have to say I disagree. I think that it has more to do with our receivers not being able to break loose and get open in time than Lee and/or Green being "worthless." Niles Paul just simply hasn't lived up to the hype that he came to Nebraska with and the rest of the receiving core are simply sub par.

I am as big of a Husker fan as they come but top 5 in the 2011 season is not very likely or logical. That season we play Washington, Texas, and Oklahoma St. Its going to be hard enough winning the North with that Big 12 schedule especially with Synder back at Kstate. Washington with there new head coach looks like they could be on there way to the top of the PAC 10 again soon with the turn around they have had on such a short time span. I know they are currently 3-6 but they have made HUGE improvements from getting dominated every game last year. They beat USC, should have beat Notre Dame in OT, and played LSU pretty tough. It should be a great match up when they come to Lincoln.

I shouldnt say Green is worthless, but Ill stick with Lee being worthless. Man it almost hurts to watch him try and run the ball. Green has some potential if he could gain confidence. And yes Vikings Forever Im aware that our defense is the ones keeping us in the game. At leas the BLACKSHIRTS are back I know our offense stinks , but in all reality we only should of lost 1 game this year. Which would of put us in the top 15 at least. In 2011 will be back, look at what Bos done with the defense in 2 short years, get our offense running like that and will be a force again.

I agree. Washington definetly has the looks of a sleeping giant ready to awake. At least Locker will be gone by then.

The QB debate will go on for the rest of the season. Lee looked impressive at the start of the season, but the sunbelt could make Vikes look good under center. Since then he's not shown much, if any improvement. Green hasn't shown much either, but as stated, he's a true freshman. I'd like to see them both on the field in the proper situations. Both of them need an O line however. The run won't work as well unless you have good blocks, and passes will continue to be off target when the QB is constantly getting hurried.

Helu could be beastly if he can get some blocks. That bad pitch between Lee and Helu is both of their faults. Lee had pressure, and when he turned to pitch it, Helu already had two defenders in front of him, it was high, but catchable. Lee should have gone down on that play.

In the end though, I'm just a Sunday morning quarterback on the outside looking in.

NU won the game. Both QB's did what the coaches asked them to do and that was not make a mistake to hurt the team. Bottom line is NU won. Complaining about the QB's and running down these young men that work their tails off each week is just absurd. Go Big Red!!

think that some key issues being overlooked by some is that there have been injuries on the O-line and even the greatest QB's and RB's look suspect when a 300 lb lineman is in their face...

I remember the 'intelligence' that just 'knew' Keller was better than Ganz. On paper...sure. But Joe, while not everyone's all-american QB was what we in business call a 'results-oriented' guy...

The most popular guy on the team is the back up QB...

They have a solid defense, probably the best we've seen this year. Our offense didn't come to life at Baylor, even though it was a lot of new freshman/sophomore guys starting their first game. Still not encouraging that there were not many holes to run through in that game either.

Folks I've heard that follow OU aren't thrilled about their offense this year either. I think our defense can contain them most of the game, but they still have a couple of playmakers on offense.

That's how I would bet. As others have said, Big 12 football has been a crapshoot this year - with the exception of Texas winning a lot and Colorado losing a lot

If we win, I will attempt to rush the field from my house in the Highlands....
I'm glad we won.

I'm also surprised that qualitatively this was my most accurate prediction so far this year. The victor was wrong, but the theory behind it was spot on.

So lets review:
O Line didn't do well for either team? Check.
Run game wasn't huge? Check.
Defense kept OU from winning? Check.
Rushed the field when we won? No. Passed the stadium and rushed to Brewskys instead.

The one thing that surprised me was how flustered Landry Jones was for a good portion of the game. I'm not sure he's had that kind of pocket pressure yet this year. I am loving our defense this year.

And how about Matt O'Hanlon? That guy was playing out of his mind. I didn't see him out of position the entire game.

You would be flustered as well if you had Suh and Crick in your face all day! If Suh dosen't go number one in the draft I don't know who will, I would rather have him than Tebow any day. GO SKERS!

With that same logic the VT game would have likely been won had it been played at Memorial stadium.

Thats probably why they play home and away games...

and, conveniently enough, the real reason most programs try REAL hard to play as many at home as possible.

Easy does it...pretty harsh words for a game that could have gone either way. Just because I picked OU to win the game that makes me a backstabin bandwaganer?

I've seen lots of criticism of Husker fans, most of it is because we believe we should be in the National Championship game every year, now we're pathetic for looking at a game that was a close one throughout and could have gone either way.

I was born a Husker fan & I'll die a Husker fan, don't go jumping to conclusions based on a pick of a football game. It's not how I want the games to end up, just how I think realistically the final score will be.

If I picked Husker games of how I wanted them to come out, my prediction would be the same all year long!

70 - 0 Huskers there I'm done for the year!

Dude, not with our offense. We won't see one better than 46-0 this year.

Seriously though, that was very well said. I want us to win every game. I'm realistic enough to know we won't.
