I can't wait for this game. Huge buckeye fan. I'll be at DJ's Dugout in Bellevue with some other buckeye fans and some Iowa fans. If you're there, say hey and buy me a drink

The SI curse lives on..... Anyone wanna guess who was on the cover of last weeks (Nov 9) issue? Yep IOWA! Sorry guys, you got bit by the SI bug. The front page read, Iowa stays in the chase after another close call Still Perfect.

I'll be rooting for Iowa for no other reason than I can't stand sweater vests.

I didn't get to see the game, but judging by a Stanziless Iowa only losing by a field goal in overtime, those boys must've played a good game. It bums me out that I missed that game but my heart is probably in better shape because I did. It would've been great to win that one and it bums me out that they were thta close and lost, but I was actually pleasantly surprised at the outcome as close as it was.

It was a great game. Vandenberg is one hell of a QB! The freshman goes to the big house and played great. Dropped passes and poor play calling in OT cost the game. The kid throws bullets. I want him to start from now on, but I'm sure stanzi will be back to throwing int's next season. The future looks great at Iowa!

I was out in the field, so I missed the game, too. All I saw was the replay for Iowa's last play in OT. How did they get backed up so far?Congrats Skeeter.

Any hope I had of seeing the "Floyd" brought back to it's rightful place were dashed upon seeing the Iowa/OSU game and the Minnesota/SDSU game...
Oh well, bowl eligible and a possible meeting against the other D-1 program from Iowa could make up for it...

Congrats on keeping the pig!

Hopefully things work out and you guys get an at-large BCS bid. Iowa deserves it as much as any other BCS conference 2 loss team.

Could you do Gopher football a favor? As long as you're keeping the pig down there, would you mind keeping Adam Weber down there too...?

If you would have told me before the season, Iowa would be 10-2, I wouldn't have believed you. Good job Hawkeyes!

Well, it has been over a month since they played. Hope the they knock off the rust early. Stanzi is back after a long time off also. It could be a long game if they don't come out swinging. I think defense is key to winning tonight. Let's finish the season in the top 5 ! GO Hawks!

GT is a pretty big favorite in this game and has a great team this year. If Iowa can pull this one off, than they deserve some major recognition for next year. I can't wait till kickoff. Go Hawks!!

Thought this god awful thread had finally sank down into the depths...

An Iowa win would cap off a very nice bowl season for the Big 10, so...
go Hawkeyes...(I just threw up in my mouth a little)

Woot!! How 'bout them Hawks! They didn't wait until the fourth quarter this game. Dominated the first half. That GT running back was a pain the second half, but made a pretty stupid move trying to run backwards at the goaline. Angerer should have smashed him for the safety, but oh well. I don't want to compare Iowa's DE Clayborn to Suh because Suh plays a different position and is in a league of his own, but Clayborn completely disrupted the supposed "deadly and unstoppable" option threat of GT. He's coming back next year, too! Sweet win for the black and gold! Big ten has been pretty impressive this year in the bowls.

edit: Saw the weather forecast pregame and thought that it would only benefit Iowa. I would take 40 degrees right now.

Well they came out swinging. Looked like a blowout until Stanzi threw that pick six. Clayborn is going to put up Suh like numbers next year. Great season Iowa! Only really loosing the linebackers next year, so this team will contend next season. The wrestling team is well on it's way to a 23rd national championship also. Go Hawks!

Iowa and Nebraska were alot alike this year.

Really bad offenses and great defenses.

I really don't think I would classify Iowa's offense as "really bad". Stanzi's had some ups and downs, but when they're on, they're deadly. I think they have twice the offense as Nebraska personally, and about 3/4 the defense. A good combination, and they're only gonna get better. The big ten is a powerful defensive and overall conference and the other big ten bowl games have really shown what Iowa's been up against all season. You can't have a season like Iowa had with a "really bad" offense.

Wake me up when September's here.

Iowa played a great game, fun to watch. That lil running back for Iowa is a fast explosive player.

True freshman I think so we'll get to see him a few more years. Can't wait for next year. Should be playing some good football in both Iowa and Nebraska. (Except ISU, they'll always stink )
