My wife and I took a trip to Boston last weekend and went to a game at Fenway.
First off I'm a life long Yankee fan. That being said I have always wanted to see a game a Fenway. We got into town, checked into the hotel and jumped on the subway to Fenway. There streets behind the outfield walls that lots of people hang on before the games. Batting practice. My wife is in the middle of 2 of the nicest ladies I have ever met. We had them take our pics and they were so excited we came from NE to their city. They gave us the finer points of speaking Bostonian. It is not Fenway Park, it is Fenway Pawk. They asked who my favorite team was and I told them I don't think they wanted to know. After some good hearted ribbing the told us all the places we should try to make it to. They had awesome seats! 12 rows behind the sox dugout. So we headed out to the outfield to our "cheap" seats. After the 7th inning streach we decided to go vist our new friends. I bought our tickets from sub hub and got a crappy 8x11 sheet with our tickets printed on them. I wanted to ask the ladies if I could have one of their real tickets to keep and add to my baseball stuff collection. Luckily they said the people sitting next to them had little kids and had just left! Like I said before I'm a Yankee fan and hate the sox. I have to say that sitting 12 rows back from the field in the top of the 8th in a tie game with the based loaded might have been the coolest sports experience I have ever had. I called up my bro and had to tell him where I sitting ( mind you at this point I had enjoyed several $8 beers). It was absolutely intense. After 10 minutes the family came back and wanted their seats back...So we went back up to the cheap seats. Which before seemed like no to bad of seats but after the taste of close seats they lost there luster. Boston was a fun town and was really surprised at how nice the people were to us. Here are some other pics of Boston from our trip. U2 concert
