Default Does anybody watch the WBC (World Baseball Classic)?

Just curious if anybody actually pays attention to this or are the powers that be (MLB and ESPN) just trying to cram another sports event down our throats? I just hope that none of the players from my favorite team get hurt and miss any time in the regular season.

Yeah, Ive been watching it. Not really because I enjoy it much, but because its been one of the only sports on the tube that I really care for. I'm not really big on basketball unless Shaq is on tv and still dominating the young centers of the league at 37, so any baseball will do. I also need my baseball fix after having withdrawls for the last 5 months!

I can see where your coming from Vikes..it does seem like ESPN is shoveing another sporting event down our throats...but then I have to catch myself.....NO way there will EVER be to many sporting events!

It might not be the best thing to watch....but it'll hold me over until the MLB season starts...and until next weekend when Tiger plays another event! Im pumped!!!!!

(Does that about cover it?)

Not even close......

Brett Favre
A-roid (arod)
T O
college baseball (not enough coverage)
basketball (not enough coverage)
basketball (too much coverage)
cutting off Nascar coverage for baseball
Poker (I play poker, and I agree, poker isnt a sport)

That's a small sampling

And don't even get me started on 360

I agree it would be a shame if somebody got hurt, but really, this is just a spring training game to these guys.

And...nope, not watching it.

All depends on how seriously the MLB guys decide to take it I guess...

Like most people, I'm starving for baseball. Spring training games are pretty lame. I watched some of Seattle vs Austrailia last week on MLB. That was pathetic. Still, to me, it is better than the NBA.

100% agree!

I caught part of the Twins vs Red Sox game a while back and it sucked me in for a couple of innings.

Does anybody have the MLB channel? I've got it on Directv and I was wondering if they are going to televise any live games during the regular season.

It is the only real baseball being played now that a person can see on TV; so yes I am watching it.
Pre-season baseball is not real baseball to me. When the game actually counts/means some thing then it is real!

Basically I never watched anything but weather channel the past few weeks when goose hunting but will say that I would check it out. Im sure they dont play as hard as they could but as said above its way better than the NBA and hockey.

I cant wait for opening day.
