A Former Michigan Fan Needs a New Team - eBay (item 270304736881 end time Nov-27-08 18:40:27 PST)

Quote:
A Former Michigan Fan Needs a New Team

I was born and raised in the heart of Michigan.
My first word was "Hail."
I could whistle "The Victors" by the age of three.
But, all things must come to an end - and for me, the end is near. You can decide my fate....

I am bound, to the winning bidder, to perform the following:
1. Denounce the University of Michigan, promising to never be a Michigan fan again. Removing all Michigan-related items from my possession.
2. Select a new College Football team to root for, this team will be determined by the winning bidder.
3. Provide a notorized letter to the winning bidder - with a public declaration of my disdain for Michigan, and my support for the newly selected team.
4. Provide a video to the winning bidder of a University of Michigan flag and my Michigan gear being burned in effigy.
5. Research the tradition and culture of the newly selected team, and become immersed in this tradition by purchasing items (clothing, etc.) related to the new team.
6. Announce to the world my love for this newly selected team, via the Web.
Note:In the event that the newly selected team is Ohio State, I promise to fulfill my obligation. However, in order to fit into the Ohio State culture, I might need some help reducing my I.Q. as well as learning to acquire an appetite for Slim Jim's and Pickled Pig's Feet. Fortunately, I am already married and will not be able to find a close relative who would be willing to wed.

Amendment A:

I will also agree to donate 60% of the final auction amount to a charity (A nearby food bank or a local rescue mission) that is local to the winning bidder's college selection. I will provide proof of this donation and will conact the charity upon completion of the bidding and receipt of payment.

That way, we can help someone who is hungry or in need, as well as find me a new college team. I am thinking that we can use this to help someone who is in need this holiday season.
current bid is 81.00, pretty cool he's donating some of the proceeds!

I sure hope he doesn't have to become a Wisconsin fan, that'd be lower than low.....

Better hurry and snatch him up before Rodriguez gets things going up there, otherwise the price might go up.

Last year, before Billy C got wacked and Pelini was hired the going price for a Husker fan to convert was a Snickers bar and a Pepsi.

He's a fair-weather fan. If his new team disappoints him as Michigan has, he'll move on again, probably proclaiming the same stuff about that team. He didn't say how long his new loyalties will last, you'll notice. Nice to get some money to the charity, though.
