IMO,Eric Crouch is the biggest waste of a great athlete(and I don't mean just for football)in the last 20 years... I'll leave the concert part alone.

I seriously believe Eric Crouch is one of the most exciting QB's to watch of all time, but New Kid's on the Block??? Come On Eric!!! Grow a pair... am I even allowed to still like the guy after witnessing that? My answer is no! Congratulations to Tommie Frazier! For a while I have debated which Nebraska QB I enjoyed watching more... Eric just made up my mind for me...

I agree with Alex.

Eric is a perfect example of someone good enough to excel at the College level and not humble enough to buckle down and make a name for himself at the pro level doing things that would have combined his talents with the task at hand.

I.E. --> "If I can't be QB, I am taking my ball and going home." We all remember the panzy a$% kid that did that on the playground in our youth....And that is what I think of when I hear his name. Such talent....that is for sure. Can't deny that.

I didn't mind watching him play he was okay, personally I think Bobby Newcomb was extremely underated and they didn't utilize his talents enough at nebraska to have him be as successful as he could have been especially at qb. Eric was a product of the nebraska system and won the heisman in a year that really had no legit contenders. The committee should have taken any player off the hurricanes defense that year and given them the trophy especially after the way they dismantled the huskers in a national championship game that they souldn't have even been in. Oregon should have played Miami that year, we had no business being in that game but that's a whole other topic.

As far as Eric being at the concert, it appears as if he is there with his wife and I'm sure nobody on this forum ever did anything that their wife/girlfriends ever asked them to do. It would be different if he was alone or something but it's obvious that he's with friends/family and he doesn't look too enthused or maybe he realized somebody had nothing better to do than go to a new kids concert and record people. If Crouch is getting so much crap for being there, how about the guy filming him?

That was my exact point GA. Plus,I believe he was very good at baseball and never pursued that after thinking he was too good for pro football. Pure waste of a natural born(and very good) athlete.

Ill bet money he would have got owned at any other position in the NFL and probably put on the practice squad.

I think that Ganz is a pretty good QB. I would even put him at above average! Eric Crouch on the other hand was GREAT. I could give two ****s what he did in athletics after he left Nebraska, all I know is that he was great while he was on my team. C'mon....he won the Heisman Trophy!! What he chose to do after he left the University is his choice, not everyone is made out for the pro game ya know....Last I heard he owns his own business and is doing alright for himself, there are worse things he could be doing....A certain teammate of his may never see the light of day again, and rightfully so. Good for you Eric for being a stand up role model! AND ROCK IT OUT!!!!!!!!!!!

Troy

I am far and away NOT a Crouch fan and agree he is a cry-baby and wasted some great talent.

With that said the above quote from Ty could not be farther from the truth. Martz(among many other nfl experts) said he could be a star wide receiver. The rams had full intentions of making him a starter.

Don't worry about Ty. Take what he says about the Huskers with a grain of salt. If you read his other posts, it's pretty obvious he has something against them.

Use that same grain of salt when dealing with Husker lovers too.

Yea yea yea........whatever Vikes. You and Ty can have your anti Husker parties together and feel all warm and cozy with one another. I don't know where you are from, but a lot of people on this site were born and raised in NE. With that comes the pride for the states one National attention getter, the Huskers. Who would of thunk it? So when all you guys do is bash the Huskers all year long on a NEBRASKA web site of all things you come off sounding a little full of yourselves. As bad as the past few years have been, it's nice to see a GOOD season. You can lay off on the comments now that the Huskers didn't completely fold like you wanted them too. There is pride in this state for the Huskers and some like to enjoy it when they see a marked improvement from years past. It's good to have hope and faith in something and if you don't see it that way, thats fine. All I ask is to let the fans enjoy a little bit of a glimmer for a better future without all the negative comments.

Wow. must have touched a nerve.....

You are the one that's coming off full of himself. I don't know how you got all of that giberish, but you should read my post in the "Let's talk Husker football", that should clear it up.

Never said it was wrong to have pride in YOUR team or any team.

Always amuses me when someone comes on here with a negative husker comment. Not everyone in this state or on this forum has to be a Husker fan.
