Cornhuskers: 42

Jayhawks: 38

Huskers win off of a last second touchdown pass to their MVP TE Nate Swift.

I'm suprised by the amount of faith still around for this husker ball club. I think they lose this weekend and become bowl eligible against K-State and Colorado. Our defense is way, way too bad to stop KU. If the offense can put a game plan together to keep the KU offense off the field then we have a shot but that involves consistent run blocking and strong running which we fail to have on any consistent basis so I don't see that happening. with our tendency to turn over the ball frequently and our defense's tendency to not create turnovers at all, this one should be easy pickins for the jayhawks KU 49 NU 27

I wont predict a score on who wins but the start of the OU game wasn't an indication of how good NU is. Get behind like that and its kind of impossible to slow down a team like OU. If KU starts out fast and NU cant get its running game going then they (NU) lose.

The start of the game wasn't, but the final score IMO was about right when comparing where those two programs are at right now.

Slow 'em down? I could see saying that if OU was just running all over the field with them, but only 1 of those first 4 touchdowns was actually EARNED by the sooners. "Getting down" like that to OU was definately an indication of how good NU is.

I suppose we can blame the next husker loss on the tooth fairy? Oh...no, it's that damn sasquatch...that's who is to blame.

The same Nebraska team that took No. 2 Texas Tech into OT at Lubbock. Not saying that means that Nebraska is going to win, but they ain't going to roll over especially at home. OU is lightyears ahead of NU in terms of players, but the competitiveness is there. I still say this season will end up 7-5.

I think that with the way we have been playing, and the way Bo has been getting fired up, someone may get a visit from the tooth fairy after a game.....and they might be wearing stripes.....

If only the Blackshirts could get as fired up as Bo does, we could stop anything....

OU is better and the score proves it. A team like NU can't afford to make mistakes against a very good team like OU. The first 4 scores in the game and how they happened proved that. The only chance that NU had in keeping that game close was to keep the ball more than OU. Didn't happen and well......

Yes they did which was a great step, but don't forget that they also gave up 30+ points at home to the 112th ranked offense in Virginia Tech and they almost lost to San Jose State at home. If the qb for San Jose State doesn't get injured that game could've been completely different because the husker D wasn't stopping him at all. Basically we just have to wait and see what husker team shows up but for most of the season it hasn't been the one that played against Tech unfortunately. We'll definitely make a bowl, just not a good one for awhile until Bo can get some speed to show up in Lincoln. Honestly when the TE for Oklahoma out runs your whole secondary..you have problems.

Yes...Oklahoma and most of the other South division's teams have insanely good players accross the board compared to the teams in the North. So Oklahoma's TE being that good is not surpising to me...is it to you?

You can't put Kansas in the same picture as Oklahoma. The Jayhawks are beatable...especially considering the worst team in the Big 12, Iowa St. was up 3 TDs on them before choking. It's going to definately be a good game, and definately one NU 'could' win.

well, I was trying to see if anyone had heard the album "Coke is It! Big Red Country" My friend was at homers a few years back and found a vinyl record that had Nebraska football on it. He bought it for me and my roommate knowing we would enjoy having something like that. We listened to it and it was awesome, not necessarily good music, but absolutely hilarious! It's about 12 country songs all about Husker football. I was hoping someone had heard such songs as, "Okie Knuckle-heads don't belong" "Ode to the Huskers" "Big Red Fan" and my personal favorite "Nebraska 67 Kansas 1" which is about how we blew them out 67-0 and felt bad so we just gave them a point. If you can find it on the internet get it, best tailgating music of all time!!!

Big Red Country Nebraska - eBay (item 360090114503 end time Nov-16-08 18:34:51 PST)

also if anyone would like a copy and can prove your a true husker fan, I was able to convert it to MP3 format so if you send me a flash drive and a self addressed envelope I could put them on there for ya... just PM me if interested...
