What is the Best Sporting Event that you have ever PERSONALLY been to?
I think for me, it was my very first Husker Football game. NU vs. Texas Tech, in 2003 at Memorial Stadium. The year they ALMOST won the national championship. The game wasn't significant. But to me, as my first husker game, it will ALWAYS be memorable.

I know many people don't consider horse racing a sport.....
But the best event I ever attended was the first race one of my parents horses won.

Husker Football games, most definately. The one that sticks out the most is the Texas game on Oct 21, 2006. The main reason is because it was my birthday, the second is because it was a really good game, until we lost. It was still an awesome day. Honorable mention is the USC game last year, mainly because GameDay was there and i got on TV a couple times.

best game I have personally been too was the 2005 Alamo Bowl vs Michigan. Worst head-ache of my life after that game, that's what happens when you get nebraska fans inside a dome...

I like Husker games but there is something about a nice spring day enjoying a College World Series game. I love them.
Also............... Wrigley Field. Enough said!

Twins vs Tigers 1991
First Twins game I ever went to and Kirby Puckett hit a grand slam. (I think it was the first one of his career).

My first Husker game when they beat Troy State 30-0. They probably won't beat any of their opponents that badly this year.

As a youth:
Houston Astros VS. San Diego Padres @ Jack Murphy Stadium in the mid 80's. Got to see my 2 sports heroes face off (Nolan Ryan & Tony Gwynn). Everything Else: Any time I watch my kids play any organized sporting event is an awesome experience that nothing can really compete with.

Not sure if this qualifies as an "international," but the loudest sporting event I've ever attended was a capacity crowd Classico futball match in Guadalajara a few years ago between Las Chivas and Mexico City's America. I swear one of the fans had an authentic ambulance siren. I know a lot of them had M-80s. It was nuts! Comparatively speaking, a Creighton match at Morrison is a Baptist wedding reception.

I'm assuming I can't count sporting events I participated in. In that case, while I can't name a specific event, the Husker volleyball games I've attended in the Coliseum have to be my favorite. That atmosphere is just incredible.

It was 1995, last game of the regular season. Mark Langston vs. Randy Johnson (one of the guys the Mariners traded Langston for). Mariners Refused to Lose.
I also went to the game where they were all "must wins" because the Mariners were 13 games out of first place. I'm even on their video! ![]()

I'm throwing up in my mouth as I say this, but I'd say the best game I've ever been to was the Nebraska/Kansas game a couple years ago in Lincoln that the corn-muffins eventually won in OT. That was a blast.
