I predict that many of us will turn the channel to watch the final minutes of the Red River Shootout between Texas and Oklahoma after Texas Tech rolls up 21 or so in the first quarter and we can do nothing to stop them. Lots of good football on this weekend and Nebraska's game is not one of them that is for sure. When is the last time we won a game on tv that wasn't on pay per view? It's been a while hasn't it?

Ahhhh....I long for the days when my local team was in the WAC...Where even the mediocre teams stood a chance to compete.
You throw a crappy team in the Big-12 and it is just a boring blood bath. P.S. -- Can't wait for the "Oklahoma - Nebraska (in Norman) predictions" thread. ![]()

It's come to this....I'm actually pleased with the Huskers...even with a loss. Makes me sick! But it wasn't 70-10. Harrell said no one has ever came into Lubbock and executed keeping the ball away from the Tech offense like Nebraska did. I'm still hoping for a 7-5 season. 6-6 isn't unrealistic. Iowa St. at Aimes and Baylor at Lincoln, Huskers should be 5-3 before they head to Norman

We're not about moral victories," Pelini said. "Nebraska never will be as long as I'm head coach. If we start being about moral victories, you need to get a new coach."
The game didn't go the way I thought it would, didn't end the way I hoped it would, but I was still pleased. There are wrinkles that still need to be ironed out. back to back holding calls???? yeah, go sit your but on the bench! Quote:

I had NE picked right. I knew that eventually we had to start moving the ball. Those holding calls were BS. If they are calling holds like that they might as well throw the flag every play on both teams because it happens every down. Maybe if our secondary would have covered some one just half of the time we would have won. Every big play they had came on blown coverage. Our d-backs need to pull their heads out right now if we want to make it to a bowl game!!!

I agree those holding calls were maybe a little iffy. That type of hold happens on every play.
