Default Yankees last game

I gotta say that watching that opening segment with Yogi Berra brought a tear to my eye. That was awesome. Really wish I could have made the trip out there this summer. That stadium has some rich history. That stadium was a part of America itself and really I cant understand why they would ever want to tear it down. Who cares about skyboxes. An afternoon baseball game in the sun is about the only thing left pure in this world. Glad to see they won.

Man what a tribute last night. I can't believe they are tearing it down. I'm so glad I was able to make it out to game this summer, it is something I will never forget. Here are some of my pics from the game I was at.Pics from Yankee stadium 7/4/2008. No other team in any sport could have brought that many legands on to a field at one time. Yogi and Whitey Ford helped with announcing the for an inning or two and it was classic.

Thanks for the post Ty, it is nice to see even a Cubs fan appreciates what happend last night. I wish I could tell you I'm cheering for the Cubs but I can't bring my self to do it.

Hey even though im a Cubs fan that dont mean I dont have a passion for baseball. Yankee stadium in my mind should be compared to The Coliseum. Never tear it down. It was really cool seeing those pics you took this year. Awesome.

Id like to get a piece of Yankee stadium. Even some of the infield dirt would be cool.

Being a life long Yankee fan and coming from a long line of them, that tribute last night was great! I heard that they are going to be selling a lot of the seats for something like 400 dollars or something? But that they are only going to sell a select few of them, I read that a few months back. Frosch, did you "steal" anything from the stadium when you were there? Paint chips, toilet paper roll, some old screw, ect. My brother and I were talking last night about what people are probably taking this season when they left Yankee Stadium. If I was there I would of brought a screwdriver in and got a number plate from the seat or something probably

Anyone remember that the Huskers won their first bowl game in Yankee stadium? It was called the Gotham Bowl. The quarterback was Denny Claridge. He later became a dentist.
