What's wrong with sweater vests? They're nice when it's too warm to wear my cardigans.

Big 12 teams, as do most BCS schools, only play one decent noncon anyway, I guess just another case of the pot calling the kettle black.

Plus, with the way the Big 12 schedule is set up, it allows teams like Kansas to miss the South big boys and have the season they had last year. Not taking anything away from KU, just stating a fact.

I will agree with you about the championship game
Hate seeing 2 or 3 "Co-champs"
I guess I just see the Big 12, SEC, PAC 10 playing "quality" non-conf. games pretty much accross the board.

The difference is that Kansas did have a cake walk last year...but they beat a good Virginia Tech in their bowl game.

I don't know, I just feel the Big 10 is a weak conference. I know it's not just me also. I certainly hope everyone agrees that the SEC is the toughest conf. hands down.

So you just see the Big 12, SEC and the Pac 10 playing "quality" noncon games? You must not pay attention.
For every USC vs Ohio St. (Hmmm thats a Big 10 team)
There is a:
Auburn vs ULM
Penn St. vs Temple
LSU vs North Texas
Georgia vs Georgia Southern and so on
Like I said before most BCS schools only play one decent noncon game

Just like you have your opinion about the Big 10, I feel the same way about the Big 12, and I am not the only person who feels that way either.
You have Texas, OU and a couple of one year wonders who only time will tell if they can maintain their current success
OU has lost four BCS games (two of them title games) in a row. (Not seasons in a row, appearances)
Texas has not proven that they can win a big game without V. Young.

The one thing we can agree upon is that the SEC is the best conference hands down, I think it's their speed and athletes on D that put them over the top.

Sure you can say that about the Big 12, but accross the country I can assure you, you're in the minority if you believe that the Big 12 isn't better accross the board than the Big 10. We'll see after this weekend for sure.

I'll man up and say if I'm wrong on Monday if the Big 10 teams (Ohio St., Wisconsin, Iowa and Michigan) come through with their "big" non-conf. games. We'll see tonight how Kansas plays against South Florida. The rest of the Big 12 plays big games next weekend, so we'll see.

So what do OPINIONS from around the country have to do with THIS?

Nothing I can assure you

Christ, if you listened to Lou Holtz you would think ND has a title shot.
Everybody who follows football has their own biasis, some of us just don't go shooting our mouths off saying one conference is weak...
Did the Big 12 have the better year as a whole last year? Of course they did, but that was just one year.
I will always think the Big 10 is better than the Big 12, but again that is just my opinion.

Ok brother...you're right the Big 10 is and allways will be the greatest conference

The Big 12's successes are flukes I guess...anomalies if you will

Wow, 3 points...so basically their offense is a joke without wells and this is validated by the fact they needed special teams touchdowns against Ohio to win that game. Sorry Ohio State fans the media and the Ohio State name have made you feel like you're something special when in actuallity your team is once again just average. Don't fret... you'll still play in the BCS championship because of a flawed system so turn those frowns upside down and get ready for another whopping in a bowl game come January.

For the last time, I will always put the Big 10 before the Big 12. Right or wrong, that is MY OPINION

You think the Big 10 is weak...Right or Wrong, that is YOUR OPINION

You are never gonna change my opinion

Never said that the Big 10 was the greatest conference and the Big 12's successes were flukes
If you read my posts I stated that I thought the SEC was the best
Read what you want to read and post what you want to post I guess...

USC IMO is in the mix as one of the top 4 programs in the country. Right up their with them is Florida, Mizzou, and OU.

As far as the big 10 vs the big 12 I think the records speak for themselves. The big 12 has 5 teams with one loss while the big 12 has 4. Also the big 10 has team below .500 winning %. The sadest thing is the top 2 teams in the big 10 would likely lose two the top 2 teams in the big 12. While both conferences are solid this year only I think the big 12 is considerably better when you look at the fact that PSU and WI are the only real players in the big 10 and the two powerhouse programs are re building a bit espcially Michigan. I guess the official ruling will be decided at the end of the year or in a bowl game since the only matchup between the schools resulted in a Mizzou victory over Illinois.
