I think we all hoped for a miracle season. Doesn't look like we are going to get one. It is the first year, and very few coaches do miraculous things their first season.

Unfortunately, we may have to wait a year or two before the Pelini hiring bears the kind of fruit that we are hoping for.

Was at the game too. We were lucky that their kicker couldn't kick, and they couldn't score in the redzone. Defense looked horrible against the run and couldn't tackle worth a darn. Lots of hitting but not wrapping up. Ganz also needs to learn how to watch for more than one receiver, and the receivers need to look back to help him out when he's in trouble.

Oops sorry, meant SJSU. Anyways, not a good day at all. But the Huskers didn't give up....like Bill Callahan's 2nd game against Southern Miss 4 years ago. Everyone has to remember that game.

Two huge plays that saved the team; Suh's interception return and Paul's untouched kickoff return. The latter got the crowd back into it big time.

The Spartans run a spread offense, so I'm really not looking forward to watching the Husker defense go up against Missouri or Texas Tech. But the biggest dissapointment of the year...I'm sure most can agree is the Offensive line play. Those 2 sacks on Ganz on the Huskers 1st possession and 3 false starts in a row look liked a junior high game. The Huskers will beat New Mexico State this weekend, and with a week off before the V Tech game I think they do have a tremendous chance to beat them also.

Guess we'll see
