Yeah, I know that and I completely agree that there are people everywhere that will do things just to get attention no matter how bad they are. But as I recall, the US wasn't rioting over political protests and doing everything in it's power to stop the games from happening like what has gone on over there. I'm just saying that over there, this has been going on for months and I was hoping that things were looked at to make sure the games were safe. Obviously that wasn't the case and hopefully nothing else happens. Bejing is claiming that it is still safe to hold the games and hopfully it is, but after yesterday I'm not so sure. Believe me, I love watching the games. I was going nuts for Phelps last night and I was up fairly late watching boxing so I'm definitely for the olympics don't get me wrong on that part but with all that went on prior to the olympics even starting, they could've been moved to a different country if need be like one that has already hosted and has the facilities to do so and there are many that can. It may have delayed the start of the games a bit but shouldn't safety come first?

Don't get me wrong man, of all the places that the Olympics could have been held, Beijing definately raised my "WTF" flag. But the IOC is made up with the "rest of the world" types...and I've yet to be terribly impressed with the decisions made by "rest of the world" types. Whatcha gonna do?

We looked ok against China the other day. What do you guys think?
And i herd a stat the other day that made me realize why team USA maybe having such a hard time in international ball. Guess how many international player there are in the NBA? And to anybody who think that we should have a college based team you do realize we would get absolutely crushed. |

I would guess about 1/3 of the nba is foreign. Am I close. Yes our college kids would get crushed. We have so many guys leaving early that our college game has been "watered" down a bit. Less big time talented players in college ball. However, it makes it awesome for parity and supperb equality come March!!! Lots of upsets! |

One more thing.... I definitely think the games should continue. Bad things like the events that occurred the other day could happen anywhere at anytime. Things happen that we can't explain or control no matter how many thousands of security cameras they have put up in the city.

22% and more to come...especially if the NBA players jolt for foreign countries. More of the NBA rosters will start having foreign 10, 11, 12 men on the rosters.
