The NEFGA Fantasy Football Thread!

I've set up a FREE private fantasy football league through ESPN for the forum, if you are interested in joining, PM me with your email addy.

I've set it up for the moment for 16 teams, with a live online draft for Thursday, August 21st at 6:30 pm. (this can be changed though to accommodate the most team owners once league is filled.) I can do a draft while at work, it's actually encouraged, a benefit that comes with working for espn!

standard ESPN league settings and scoring with the exception I've added 1 IR slot.

other options, can do a standard draft, or an auction draft with a 200 dollar limit (can be fun, feel free to blow half your payroll on LT or AP!

).

How much money are we talking about? Is it an on or off line draft?

It's $105 up front. $100 to prize pool and $5 for the cost of stamps, checks, envelope, ect... and an end of the year plaque to the winner. The $100 goes for weekly and year end payouts. How many spots get paid each week and at the end of the year depends on the number of teams we have in the league. It's a "Live Online Draft". In the past I really enjoyed the inperson drafts but since many of the teams live in different towns and gas is a fortune we have gravitated towards the live online draft. I was able to recruit a player from the other outdoor forum last year with having never met. He has joined again this year! If you like football or have played fantasy in the past you will have a good time!! Let me know if you have anymore question.

I know in high school my buddy won a ton of money off a online one where he needed to be 18. Had to claim it under his moms name.

The league is full now, Chad took the last slot, when Chad accepts the invite, I'll only be waiting on one other person, and if they don't join by say, Aug 15th, i'll open that slot. So let me know if you'd want to join if said slot opens.

Chad, I'm sure several people will be able to put the whuppin on ya just like a late july bass......

League is full, everyone is joined in, I may add two more teams though. I'm also working on trying to get a prize pack going for the champ, no promises though.

I've also created a Most points trophy, I'll award this each week to the team who scores the most points. A BIGGEST LOSER banner will go to the team who takes loses by the largest margin.

Anyone have any other ideas for trophies and banners?

thanks alex for doing this it will be fun my draft for our league with friends is at my house this sunday. So im all geared up and ready for football. Wish work would ahve let me go soon enough i missed the first 4 rounds but 3 out of 4 of them i would have picked anyways.
