I have my opinions on Big Brown, but I'll keep them to myself because this is an outdoor forum. Last edited by Black Lab 1; 06-03-2008 at 12:03 PM. |

I really hope Big Brown wins it, I've literally been waiting all my life to see a triple crown winner, last one was in 78, and i was born in 79, but it depends on how he's healed up. But i sure have my fingers crossed!

On TV they said the steroids used were not illegal but it sure could of helped Big Brown win the race. Anyways I was hoping Eight Bells would have won race but then she broke her legs.

I think Congress should definently investigate the horse. I've heard rumors too that Big Brown was having an affair with the Dixie Chicks.

I wouldn't go so far as to say the rest of the nation. I had seen a quote today that next year steroids will be banned from horse racing. That's fine, but if it wasn't now then Big Brown on roids is a past point. Or we could put the horse in front of our Congress like Mr. Clemens. Important issues, you know..
![]() ![]() This whole thing makes me a bit suspicious that this was a ploy to make horse racing seem to care more about their animals due to what has gone on lately in horse racing. They threw the race..

Sports Center this A.M. had a shot of Big Brown's hoof with the shoe definitely being loose. Looked like it was separated an inch or two from the hoof in the still pic they showed. Said it may have come loose as soon as 200 yds from the start of the race. Didn't say it made him loose the race, but it probably had an effect.
