Everyone is on the Bo band wagon already and already have Nebraska competing for the big 12 championship. Lets remmeber it is ateam effort and one person isn t gonna win everygame especially a coach. Most of these players are still callahn recruits so lets wait a little while beofre we get too excited folks.

I listen to sports radio on the a.m. every day after work, and last week you would have thought Nebraska was going to play for the National Championship.

Callahan recruited good talent he just didn't know how to coach them or motivate them. I think Bo and his coaches will do that. No national championship but i bet you they don't quit playing this year.

being a good X's and O's guy is definitely not the same as being good at developing players.

No matter how good the high school player...college is still a very different level. You can't very often go from being a stud prepster to being All American...it's even harder for 18 year old linemen going up against 5th year seniors...

Kansas- Loss because we were beat up by Oklahoma prior and will be living in the past. We win if Todd Reesing gets hurt (not that I am wishing that upon anyone)

Colorado will surprise some people this year. Dan Hawkins is a motivator just like Bo, and has those kids running through bricks. Cody Hawkins, their QB and Coaches son, has been studying his play book very hard. Expect this to be a close game, but CO to win it in the end. sorry.

Now THAT is a very realistic prediction from a 'sker fan. I'm astonished, actually. I'd say you're spot on, aside from the VA Tech game...I'm pretty sure they're a pre-season top 10, and the home field advantage isn't quite what it was in the late 90's and early 00's. That Iowa State game will be a toss-up. On paper, NU should stomp 'em...but it's on the road, and it'll be on the tail end of a 3 game losing streak, most likely. At least a 2 game streak. Oh...K-State won't be a cake-walk by any means either.

But hey...this is all "debatable" and thus should be shut down.

Whats your point? Callahan had some of the best ranked recruiting classes in the country during his tenure. We aren't lacking athletes. Bo is coming in with plenty of good players to work with. Call me a husker optimist, but i think we've got the CHANCE to be very good this year.

like i said, controversy and 2 young QB's is never a good mix.
Iowa State is still learning their offense, they lose their quarter back and their top receiver Blyth. At the end of the season Prince should be fired by K-State...there is much more going on that you realize. If you want info just pm me.

I'm in agreement that the Huskers wont be Nat Champs but I'll predict that they will finally knock off a top ten team this year. That's something that hasn't happened in a while! All I really ask is that they don't quite like they did last year I wouldn't even care if they lost half of there games as long as they didn't get blown out and demonstrated a little character!

Well Im glad to see a few real Husker fans on here that realize they have work ahead of them but we also still have a couple of dreamer band wagons also. Besides an easy schedule (again) you have work ahead of you guys. You dont have contenders you have pretenders. The pretenders are the ones who never believed in them until the national championships in the 90's, the real husker fans are the the ones who realize they can t change things for a couple years but still will folow them through the season and support them. the only way they make it to a decent bowl game is because of another soft schedule and if they do make it to a decent bowl game it will be an embarrasment for nebraska but the tru fans will give poleni a couple more years and not call for his job!!!!!

I think NU's 08 team will be significantly better than the blunder that was the teams from the Callahan "Error".

Next year I see the D playing much better with a lot more intensity and success. With this said, I see NU finishing 7-5 next year and get invited to a Bowl Game.

The nice thing is, with Bo and Co. at the helm, I'm excited to buy new Husker gear and look forward to the upcoming season.
