Cabelas ran a King Kat tourny on Twakoni in Tx last Saturday. 1st place w 5 fish had 239 lbs. 2nd was 236 and 3rd was 233. Looks like I better plan a trip soon. 1st place said they lost count of the # of fish caught. 2nd place caught 35. Thats a GREAT day on the water. Thats better than 4 big blues and hr. Talk about wore out at the end of the day!!!!

I have a brother that lives right down the road from Tawakoni.... it's a great lake! with lake Fork not too far from it, there isnt a TON of pressure (at least Bass Fishing wise)

Cheap a.. we are going to work on putting the trip together w a few of us.what a blast that would be!!! Big live wells and catfish baskets will. keep them alive easy.

Just for some perspective, when hauling channel catfish, a "standard" hauling rate for "catchable-size" fish would be in the neighborhood of 6 pounds of fish per gallon of water. At those rates, just for reference, not saying they are written in stone especially for larger fish in cool water, you would be looking at a minimum of 40 gallons for hauling 239 pounds of fish. And I would always tell you that less crowding, and less time in confinement, means less stress on those fish.
