Whenever I take my boat out of town I struggle to figure out how to get it charged. Some hotels have places to charge but mostly I've been disappointed. Going to Tulsa next weekend and I've checked with several hotels with no luck. Any advice on this problem in general or specific to Tulsa would be appreciated.

I know it's not ideal or fun but in the past we have unhooked the batteries and taken them inside and plugged them in with portable chargers

A GOOD solar charger can do the trick, but not a cheapie. Of course, that won't help if the only time you have to charge it is overnight...

I've got a 1000W generator that I have used in "isolated areas" to boost my trolling battery over-nite. Of course, NOT recommended in a "tent camping area"!

I have a pair group 31 batteries, I think it's the biggest battery. I put a solar panel in the windshield of the boat and charge the batteries while fishing during the day. The charging almost makes up for the juice the trolling motor uses. I did this for four days of fishing at the tongue river resevoir in montana.
