    Default Teal opener

What an experience...Every single marsh had 3-20 trucks on it where there was water..alot of out of staters..Iowans seemed to be in excellent numbers..lol...I would personally like to thank Patrick Olson, and uglymike for tips and advice via pm's..Also thanks to all of the guys who offered advice and constructive criticism.....Starting at 2am checking parking lots..it became obvious..i was just going to have to find a spot and settle with it..

Scouting was the major key for today..Had I not known where several potential spots were I would have been in a terrible mess..Instead I walked out shortly after legal shooting time with 2 gwt,and 2 bwt...It was nice to limit out quick on my first ever waterfowl hunt as a nebraskan..Also first waterfowl hunt in nebraska.I am still amazed at the amount of people..I did get checked by the GW..He was a very nice guy..Real professional, and had a great attitude.

It is amazing what will happen when a few guys get on the WWW and single out certain locations...lol..By simply mentioning where the water was..they created a monster..Anyways..Patrick was right..it doesnt matter what happens on the public land with dove,or bothering teal before or after opening day..Its chaos as soon as legal light on the first day.....Good luck to all!!Headed back in the am!

Nice job. You might be the only snipe hunter in Nebraska.

Great post PLP, good looking bag. Haven't shot snipe in 40 years. They ain't an easy target as I remember, lots of bobbin and weaving. Those bwt's sure have sharp color, wow! Thanks for posting .

They are tricky for sure!Jump shooting them really helps my instinctive shooting.

At one time, I believe Alex T was an accomplished Snipe Guide. Or was it cow-tipping... can't remember for sure.

Anywho, congrats on your success, PLP. A great mixed bag, as well!

A friend and I got 7...he had no problem knocking out his 4 but my shooting was less-than-accurate to say the least.
