I had a good trip to the local trout spot this morning. Started out rather slow, but the fish bit good from about 8:30 to 10:30 and it slowed down after that. Ended the morning with 19 trout. All were released to fight another day. The largest was 21", and had 3, 18" and 3, 17" and 4, 16". It took me a while to find what they wanted to eat today. Most were caught on a #14 tungsten beadhead Hare's ear flash in a tan (natural) color, fished 15"-18" deep.
Also managed to catch a 15" wiper, one small perch and 5 bluegills 8"-9" long. It was a fun morning and not too many others were out fishing today.
Picture of one of the best colored fish of the day...one of the 17" fish.
