Default "The Green Hornet strikes again" - Max Goldman

I've been trying to build my own ice fishing rod over the past few days and have been drawing a blank on what to use as the handle. Many of you may remember the "Green Hornet" from Grumpy Old Men, a Mallard-handled walleye catching machine.

Anyone else have any creative homemade rods? I'm not looking to steal any ideas, just wanna see what's out there.

I was thinking about making some wooden brass knuckles for the handle, call it the "Panfish Punch" or something stupid like that.

"The Green Hornet's caught more fish than you've lied about Gustafson!"

    Love that line!

All my rods were purchased. That would be cool to have one like that.

I know this is not homemade - but you go for style points by modeling it after this. It lives in my glove compartment. C'mon you never know when you will need it.

I am tellin you they ought to bring them back. The reel is a sweet Johnson its indestructible and purrs like a kitten. It fits soundly in the glove box ( well hidden from wife). It has like a spring bobber like design that detects the smallest bite and yet is stout enough to land the biggest fish. The only down size is castability and looking like a dork when you use it. I saw on a forum the otherday that somebody was building the green hornet rods and selling them. It was either idofishing or this one can't remeber for sure.
