    Default Camping at Gavins Point

Someone may have already asked this question. I ran a search and didn't find anything, and it may be a dumb question, but is there any camping places at Gavins Point? If so any recomendations or experiences you are willing to share? Thanks in advance.

"I have the impression the American sportsman is puzzled; he doesn't understand what is happening to him. Bigger and better gadgets are good for industry so why not outdoor recreation? It has not dawned on him that outdoor recreations are essentially primitive, atavistic; that their value is a contrast value; that excessive mechanization destroys contrasts by moving the factory to the woods or to the marsh." -Aldo Leopold

You have Weigand/Burbach on the Nebraska side above the dam, pretty nice with reservable spots and some first-come, first-server. Have heard that the areas on the SD side are nicer but I liked W/B.

I like Weigand last last, but I really don't see how you could go too far wrong with any of it.

    Default Tailwaters

I have camped at the Tailwaters campsites a few times throughout my life. (i am only 20) this past year i took my girlfriend and we had a blast up there together. when i was a kid it was a place where my dad took us for overnight trips and its something i will remember forever, we always had a great time. I will be up there over memorial day weekend this year with my ugly green boat, hope to see ya up there.
