I wonder if putting trash in the bins is considered "littering". IF someone can verify that, I will gladly provide labels to replace the current "No Trash, PLEASE" ones.

    Wording such as:
    WARNING!
Placing TRASH in this Bin is LITTERING
    Subject to Local/State Fines

    ...or something similar.

OR, if certain bins are used more as trash cans, removing the bin and re-locating it might be a good option.

    Good point Harold.

Does anybody know if the bins that are placed next to trash cans stay cleaner? The one at Cunninham is about 60-80 yards from the trash can, and apparently that is just too far for people to walk.

There is a trash can just across the "road" at North Park Lake in Holdrege. Maybe 10 steps...

I remember OBG's comments "back in the day" about the Troot Lake Bin at Two Rivers- placed NEXT TO A TRASH CONTAINER and an ALUMINUM CAN RECYCLE container. At least he didn't have to go far to dump the TRASH he constantly pulled out of that bin! Ha!

    Thumbs up

    Just a FYI,

Cleaned out Louisville SRA Line bins today.
    Both were packed full.

We also need to look into bins on all the New piers. The line on and around these is starting. Might be able to get some local businesses to help out with these. Someone PM me with details on bin costs, ect.
    Thanks!

WW, here's the RSVP "protocol" we've used:

    R- Request a bin!
ANYONE can request a bin for their "favorite fishery"!
S- Find a SPONSOR for the bin
A $100 tax deductible donation will provide for the cost of the bin, post and installation and includes a "lifetime" label on the bin recognizing the "Sponsor".
    V
    - Secure a Volunteer to maintain the bin
A bin will NOT be installed until a Bin Volunteer is found!
    P
    - Secure Permission from the Property Manager
The one whose land we are pounding the post in!

It's possible that iROCKBASS beat me to this bin because of the amount of line and for the first time EVER there wasn't any trash. I don't believe he has "my computer talents" to write up a bin report...

Repaired and emptied both Wildwood bins. Bottoms coming off, ran screw into them. Both full with a few cans.
Two bins at Wagon Train. Both full, half trash half line.
Three bins at Stagecoach, each half full of trash, line and rocks.
All together 4 plastic store bags of line.

This bin was destroyed by SLOBS a couple years ago. It was left standing on the post as a "visual" of what the SLOBS do for fun. I was going to pull the post today, but the SLOBS beat me to it. NO sign there was ever a bin at that location.
    It will NOT be replaced.

    Thanks for the report.

FYI, many of our bin bottoms pop off. If they don't you can use a wire hanger or flimsy spaghetti spoon to pull stuff out. DO NOT use your bare hands.
