Default Events Scheduled at Parks for Independence Day Weekend

NGPC news release, 6/23/09:

LINCOLN – A variety of events are scheduled for state park visitors to enjoy during the Independence Day weekend, according to the Nebraska Game and Parks Commission.

The events are:

Fort Robinson State Park (SP), Crawford – Art show, July 3-4, all day; barbeque, July 4, noon, $6

Niobrara SP, Niobrara – RV Campground Kids Program, July 3, 6 p.m.; Buffalo Cookout and Entertainment, July 4, 5:30 p.m., age 13-up $9, children $6, entertainment free

Indian Cave SP, Shubert – Pioneer Longrifle Rendezvous, July 3-5

Fort Kearny State Historical Park (SHP), Kearney – Fort Kearny Stampede Days, July 4-5, 9 a.m.

Fort Atkinson SHP, Fort Calhoun – living history demonstrations, July 4-5, 11 a.m.

A park entry permit is required for all vehicles entering state parks, recreation areas and historical parks. Permits may be purchased at OutdoorNebraska.org.
