Bassway Strip WMA Access Road Closed to Vehicles

LINCOLN, Neb. – Access to Bassway Strip Wildlife Management Area, located 3 miles south of the Interstate 80 off Nebraska Highway 10 in Buffalo County, will be closed to vehicle traffic immediately due to needed maintenance on the access road bridge leading into the area, according to the Nebraska Game and Parks Commission.
A recent bridge inspection noted deficiencies that required the closing of the bridge and vehicle traffic into the area. Parking along the access road and foot traffic into the area will continue to be allowed. Parking is not allowed on the Highway 10 shoulder or right-of-way.
The bridge will be closed to vehicle traffic for the foreseeable future while inspection and determination of repairs are examined.
