Default Becoming an Outdoors-Family Workshop Scheduled

NGPC news release, 5/20/09:

LINCOLN, Neb. – Applications are being accepted for the inaugural Becoming an Outdoors-Family workshop Aug. 7-9 at Ponca State Park, according to the Nebraska Game and Parks Commission.

The workshop, based on the popular Becoming an Outdoors-Woman event, teaches a variety of outdoor skills to family members 8 years of age and older.

Space is limited and applications will be accepted on a first-come basis. The fee is $55 for adults and $45 for children ages 8-12.

The following classes are offered: archery, basic outdoor first aid, beginning shotgun, camping, Dutch oven cooking, introduction to firearms, introduction to GPS, lake fishing, kayaking, pellet gun, and outdoor survival hike.
