NGPC news release, 3/10/09:
LINCOLN, Neb. – Hunters, anglers and those interested in other outdoor Nebraska-related topics will want to make a point of listening to the March 14 broadcast of the Nebraska Game and Parks Commission's weekly radio call-in talk show, Nebraska Outdoors, 7-8 a.m., on Lincoln's 1480 ESPN AM radio.
This Saturday's broadcast will feature Commission Assistant Director Kirk Nelson and Kristal Stoner, a nongame specialist, who will discuss and answer call-in questions about number of topics, including how the Commission's wildlife programs are funded, the funding needs for maintaining healthy fish, wildlife and nongame wildlife populations in Nebraska, and programs such as the Nongame Wildlife Check Off, which allows taxpayers receiving a refund on their state income tax form to contribute all or part of that refund to the Nongame and Endangered Species Conservation Fund.
Nebraska Outdoors is hosted each Saturday morning by the Commission's Aaron Hershberger, Jeff Rawlinson and Ralph Wall, and Three Eagles Communication's Tim Barrett.
