NGPC news release, 8/25/08:
LINCOLN, Neb. – Conservation officers will work extra hours over the Labor Day holiday weekend in an effort to curb alcohol violations at busy state recreation areas within metropolitan areas, according to Duane Arp, a Nebraska Game and Parks Commission Law Enforcement District Supervisor. A grant made possible by the Office of Highway Safety will allow officers to patrol additional hours during the busy holiday weekend. The increased enforcement will focus on drunk drivers and operators, as well as on other alcohol violations within the recreational areas.
