NGPC news release, 5/13/08:
LINCOLN, Neb. – Come spend Saturday, May 17, at Eugene T. Mahoney State Park and celebrate Free Fishing and Park Entry Permit Day. Normally, permits are required to fish or enter a state park area in Nebraska. On Saturday, however, these permits are not needed. Take advantage of the free fishing opportunity and attend the fishing clinic from 9-11 a.m. The Nebraska Game and Parks Commission will have fishing tackle and bait available for children. Other activities at the park include archery lessons, geocaching, naturalist program on snakes, and The Great Park Pursuit. Free hot dogs will be available and KTGL-FM 92.9 will broadcast live from the park. Visit Nebraska Game and Parks Commission Homepage for more information on state parks.
