Scoring Error Changes 2008 NASP State Champion High School Standings
NGPC news release, 5/1/08:
LINCOLN, Neb. -- A computer error in the team standings in the High School Division of the 2008 National Archery in the Schools Program (NASP) Nebraska State Tournament held April 26 in Lincoln, changed the state champion runner-up and third-place teams from what were originally awarded, according to Aaron Hersberger, Nebraska Game and Parks Commission outdoor education specialist and NASP state coordinator.
Lincoln’s North Star High School remains the High School Division State Champion Team with 2,910 points; but the Mater Dei Academy of Omaha Team has been awarded state champion runner-up honors, 2,762 points; and the Superior Junior-Senior High School Team has been named the third place winner, 2,450 points.
A total of 230 fourth- to 12th grade students from 11 schools participated in the event.
