Interesting... sounds like the LMB and WP are nicely balanced. What other species are in the pond and how are they doing?

Got any pics?

its a sandpit south of Omaha, the pit has walleyes, white perch, bass, bluegill, crappie, catfish, and carp. Nothing like catching a 8 pound carp on a 1/16 ounce jig while fishing for bass. All of the fish are nice and healthy.

The one pond I remember the most is a 7 acre pond that had nothing but huge gills and crappie and just a few bass. I don't think I ever got a gill under 1/2 lb and most were 3/4 lb, the crappie were all over 12" and up to 17", you had to fish all day to get a bass of any size. And I must say there were a lot of pike in there up to 24". Anyway, the landowner told us he didn't want the pike any more and told us to either keep them all or throw them on the bank, after two years of this the pike dissapeared the gills are only 3" long now and you can't hardly find a crappie, but the bass exploded and are several over 5 lbs now. I wish the pike were back.
