Smile Monster gills anyone?

I wanted to make this thread specifically for posting pictures of monster gills So post Em' up if yah got any

Base lake monster...My wife was lovin it...this is her first fish this year.

OLD OLD OLD picture! But still my biggest gill to date. If I remember right it was like 11 3/4" and just a few ounces shy of 2 pounds. Caught on hackberry lake on the valentine refuge.

It's a bluegill/redear hybrid

That BG was just shy of 10-1/2" long and really thick. He weighed in at about 1 pound-7 ounces. It looks to be a true BG too, no hybrid.

You know, what's interesting to me about your pictures, MA (besides the obvious nice size of those three, of course), is how they lack the "foreheads" usually seen on mature gills that size. Makes you wonder how big that population can get if they haven't grown a "forehead" yet.
