Opinion Needed Educating coyotes

If I were to practice my calling in the spring and fall do you think it would educate the coyotes in that area?

My calls will change as time goes by and I start to get better at it but I want them to answer my calls when winter arives.

What do you think?

The first thing you need to do is keep your calls away from your dog !!!!!

It depends. What are are you trying to teach them?

In my opinion everytime that you call in coyotes and you don't kill them, you have just educated them. Now that doesn't mean that if you educated them you still won't be able to call them back and kill them. I suggest practicing in your truck or house and wait until you can carry a gun into the field with you before you try to call in coyotes. Have you ever thought of using a decoy dog? There is a good article in this months Fur Fish and Game magazine about calling coyotes and using decoy dogs.

I think yes. They, much like a dog learn by out come. If they come to your calls while practicing and the out come is not what they expected i.e food, they will learn.

Yeah, in his vids Randy Anderson talks all the time about hunting "educated" coyotes. So, yes, of course. They are a dog. Dog's are generally place oriented as to learning. Fool a coyote in one place one time and I doubt you'll have an easy a time getting him in to a call the next time in the same place.
