Do you use one for snows? How many shells does your gun hold with it total? How many times do you actually shoot that many shells? Just curious.

You don't need one for decoying, but I know it has saved my butt plenty of times. I wouldn't go without it and know that, at times, has put extra birds on the ground. I don't know how many times we have had geese start coming in as soon as we have opened up on a flock. No need to move around and find shells. Or juvies making a second pass. It is a valuable tool.
If for anything else, it is worth it for cripple clean up. When you have 4 guys wreck a big flock of snows that got too close, you suddenly have 10 geese sitting around, maybe ready to fly or run away. Or when crippled birds are making a second swing. I can wack them instead of watching a fly by. Most guns you can probably put 4 3.5" w/o and extender. Mine fits When you get a flock close, that is not enough. I rarely shoot more than 4 shells, sometimes 5, but I know I do not want to skimp it when you suddenly have a few thousand snows on the deck. Had a single flock last year when a buddy and I dropped 9 out of it. Birds were landing all over us, started shooting and they had a heck of a time getting out of there. Without my extender I would remember that as 4 shots and a bunch of birdwatching as a few hundred snows were still just yards away trying to find a way out. Yeah, if you are just spraying and flock shooting it is a good way to waste bullets, but in the hands of a decent shot it is a valuable tool. Probably not worth it if you just hunt a few days a year, but if you are going after snows day in and day out, it is worth it. Good Hunting, PATRICK OLSON |

Their are times it would come in handy but i plug my gun when hunting snows. I will say i need to reload often and if I had an extention tube i would kill a few more but i push the freezer to its limits without one.
Ground pounding dont do much for me any more. But if adults play with me too much i just might be willing to get on the ground to get even ![]() Seems like a good windy day when birds really want in it dang had to get the third one once they flare on your first shot. Doubles are quite common but you earn a triple...

I use one on Benelli pump. I think I can hold 5 or 6 3.5"ers. 8 2 3/4"ers
Im with Patrick on this one that I dont ever shoot that many times........... often. I have before......... just when I need to take out some frustration. But its great and there are some really cheap ones on the net so why not if the law allows?
