LINCOLN, Neb. -- The Nebraska Game and Parks Commissioners will consider amending boating regulations and take action on a number of other issues at an 8:00 a.m. meeting Jan. 17 at Commission headquarters in Lincoln.
Among the agenda items are: – a public hearing at 8:30 a.m. to amend boating regulations pertaining to restricted open waters; – a public hearing at 8:45 a.m. to consider amending wildlife regulations to allow multiple-power scopes on muzzleloading rifles; to clarify requirements for retention or custody of a mountain sheep of its parts; prescribe and clarify procedures for application for landowner, antelope (buddy), crossbow, big game, turkey, bighorn sheep, aerial shooting of coyote, scientific and educational take, wildlife damage control, and novice hunter education permits; and to amend requirements for private wildlife management, furbearer take, custody and scientific and education take; (link to forum discussion on topic added - Ed.)
