Default Permit help (reprinting)

Does anyone know how to reprint a deer permit off the game and parks page? My (new) computer went on the blink right as I was getting my sons archery permit and I was not able to print it and then had to redo the whole computer and lost the permit.

I believe you have to pay $5 for a replacement fee because it is lost. If you go online and sign in, then choose the replacement option. Then, you should see your permits there and you can click and reprint your permit...although it'll cost you $5 I believe.

This happened to me one time and i just emailed the game and parks. I had to give them my information and then they sent me the URL to my permit free of charge. I don't know if your supposed to do this but every time i buy a permit or license i always bookmark the page of my permit just in case i misplace one of them then all i have to do is print a new one. I haven't had to use it yet, but it would be nice if i did.

You can additionally save the page, or if your computer allows, save it to a pdf file. Not sure if Windows has that option by default.

I always do what Mako suggests, save the permit page as a web page to your computer.

I usually just save the webpage and if I need it go reprint it.

Dean, if I were you I would just email the game and parks and explain to them what happened, and they will probably just do what they did for matt.

I did this a couple years ago. Tried to print if off and was out of ink. I called the G&P and told them what happened and they looked it up that I did purchase a permit and they printed it off and mailed it to me free of charge.

Whys that?

I have always printed two, just for the odd reason I lose one. (I know a ton of people that do this) I'm not an idiot and try to shoot two deer with the same permit. I always destroy the extra one when I fill my tag. Plus they have permit numbers on them. Who cares if you have 500 printed out (you might have a real bad habit about losing things) still only authorized one deer. I know rules are rules and will follow them and if this is a rule I will shred my extra rifle permit right now. But don't understand the logic behind this one, too many people misplace stuff. Especially a little piece of paper! Like me!!!!!!!!!

It says right on the permit 4. It is unlawful to duplicate this permit, la da da...

But agree with ya Bob. If you're going to take more than 1 deer illegally you're probably not going to care about making a duplicate permit to do so. You'd think if checked they would right down the permit number and name and if they go back and see it is filled, ticket! But, rules are rules and that's one of them. I was also unaware until I mentioned a while back I had a duplicate at home as well as one was with me. Someone pointed it out and yep there it was right on the permit.

I didn't even see that. It's shredded now. Like I said I will follow the rule but, I disagree with this one. Maybe that’s why they charge 5 dollars for a duplicate...............

I miss the old style permits….
